Floral Bedding

I was just thinking.......very dangerous. I wrap my beautiful baby boy in a floral wrap, there are many reasons...

They are my favourite wraps,
They were less than half price,
We were told he was going to be a girl....

I was feeling a little guilty and then I started thinking. Once he gets married he will probably spend 8 hours a day in floral bedding anyway.

This raises the question, how many of you have floral bedding, and who considers their husband and has something a little more gender neutral in the bedroom?

I have one floral and one stripes. The stripes are more for emergencies though, the floral doona cover usually gets washed and returned to the bed that same day.

It's not floral in the traditional sense, the flowers are machine embroidered and there is some hand beading in the centre of each peony (that's apparently what they are).

So tell me, floral or not?

I was married to a controller and for the first 15 years was only allowed tigers in my bed linen and plains. The fact that your husband doesn't complain probably shows he is not like that. After all they do marry us for our femininity, hopefully, not just to use as an add-on for their selfish lives so I think most husbands are quite happy to put up with fairly feminine bedrooms. We have a rather basic arrangement in our room. We have a lovely dark chocolate wood bedhead, which matches our bedside tables and tallboys. The doona is an aqua/teal in a ridged sort of fabric, no pattern. the underside is a sort of soft lime green is the best way to describe it really. Sounds horrid, but is actually rather quite soothing. Our sheets are plain soft green. For summer we have white sheets and the cover is white with tiny little pale pink roses all over it with little green leaves. So we swing between the masculine and the feminine.

Our bed actualy has a "Sampler Quilt" on it.Mainly in beiges, maroons and greens. As it is a sampler it has a house block, dresdan plate, snails trail, jacobs ladder, fence and rail etc etc.So does either.
I am sure your wee son is happy to be warm and really does not care what is on his wrap.

I think it looks super cute! Add to that a .99 cent white dust ruffle that my mom found at a thrift store and her bed make over was complete.

Floral to your heart's content, I say! (And goodness, that must have been a shock when your girl turned out to be a boy. OOPS!)...
