On a Roll...

I have been sewing for a few hours at night and have been surprised by how much I have accomplished.

Lastnight I sewed up three bikinis that I had cut out last season. I surprised myself with the speed at which I completed these.

The first pair I finished was a size xs (0-2) exactly the same as this bikini. It is material from a lovely soft vintage sheet and there is a tiny floral print in browny-green and lovely soft pink tones.

The next bikini hot off the press is a size m (4-6). It is the same as this one. Made from quilting weight craft cotton.

The last bikini I finished last-night was also a size m (4-6). It is the same as this one. It is a glorious vintage fabric that was given to me by a lovely friend. It has a really lustrous sheen and features amazing blue birds... sooo wonderful!

These three swimsuits will hopefully be photographed today and added to my Etsy store. Prices will be at last years price because technically these are last years stock. So if you are interested and want to bag a bargain let me know.

In other news I completed these three little bikinis two nights ago.

Sorry about the dodgy phone picture... I swear i've organised to get a real computer soon...

Anyway, these three little babies are made from this Amy Butler fabric,

and are headed to Kiddyshack where they will be sold at trunkshows in the Brisbane area. What is a trunkshow? Check it out here.

Thanks for listening (or reading rather), I think I am definitely on a roll... I hope I can keep up the pace...

Great sewing, i love how quickly things come together after a big cutting/ preparation session, if only to wait months, fabric doesn't spoil!!
Trunk shows sound like such a great idea, that whole pop-up-retail experience, only i'd love to have a proper massive Titantic style trunk to make it all pop out from. Love Posie

I love the brown satin pair - gorgeous! It must be great to accomplish so much in one sitting. I really need to find some sewing mojo but have been having too much fun with screens and ink! :-P
