A Gift

Sorry, not for all you in blogland, it's for my sister.

I love these little pillow case totes so much, I hope my sister likes them too.

I managed to make a corsage for the tote which also doubles as a brooch. Next time I will add a hair clip also. Here is a close up of the brooch....

The ribbon rose is crafted from some leftover vintage pillowcase, and the leaves are from a jumper I felted a while ago. I love how versatile the felt is, I will be looking out for lambswool jumpers at all the op-shops from now on.

What have you gifted lately?

oh how lovely. That felt looks so soft. I hope to opshop next week for hand knitted jumpers. I want the yarn to make stuff from. Not sure how brave I am going to be to unravel someone else's hard knitting work tho. As for what have I gifted lately - well I am partway through a scarf for my Mum. Should be finished this week.

I have unraveled a jumper once, it was cotton, but it wasn't hand knitted. I used a tutorial from laughing purple goldfish. It was actually pretty easy and didn't take that long. Good luck :-)

Very nice. I love that brooch, great job. I've been very slack in my handmade gifting of late, must aim to rectify that...

oh how exciting. In between excited and scared for the unravelling. Probably just excited to be going op shopping. lol.
